Tedd Mcdonah

Tedd makes fishing lures and metal sculpture for decorative and functional purposes. Born and raised in rural Wisconsin, Tedd's objects are visually stunning and often quirky. Tedd will be teaching a workshop at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts this April.

Check out his blog: http://metalmonger.blogspot.com/

John and Pat Dickinson have undertaken a visual journey, through painting and sculpture they have strived to create a meaningful connection to the viewer. There paintings are made with the ancient process of melting beeswax and oil pigment together. Damar varnish is added to raise the melt temperature to 160 degrees. The result is archival, highly textured, and saturated with color as I would like my work to portray always.

Yuko Takada Keller

Yuko Takada Keller
Yuko Takada Keller is a Japanese artist who uses trace paper to create amazing art installations.
She used the transparency of one small piece and then duplicated it to create a large 3 dimensional work. I like the way Keller takes such a simple thing, such as tracing paper, that we interior designers use so often and makes it into this intricate, unbelievable piece of art.

Hannah Levy

 http://hannahslevy.com/project/2013/

Hannah Levy utilizes mundane, overlooked items that humans interact with, transforming them into "other-worldy" sculptures. Taking ready made materials and stripping them to their cores allows Levy to emphasize specific quirks embedded in the object. I enjoy the way in which Levy is able to take away preconceived notions of a specific generalized object, allowing imagination and her hand to re-direct the objects visual life.

Marina Terauds

Marina Terauds is a printmaker doing aquatint, drypoint, mezzotint, and etching like the one above using zinc on 20"x 16" antique white mat.  Her work most incorporates spiritual alchemy and showing beauty and nature, I like her work because nature is one of the subjects I try to put into my work.

Wesley Harvey

Here is an example for blog post format:

I have chosen Wesley Harvey, a ceramic artist who works primarily with found slip cast molds and edits/adds to them. He works with similar themes that are present in my work, but has added the element of production to his latest objects.
